Volunteer Suggestions
My sister and I volunteered at the Dimond Center yesterday. I arrived early and got set up for the first shift. We had a great time interacting with mall patrons and with friends who stopped by.
The only two things I would change for next time are the location (this was so near an entrance that it was VERY cold and drafty, even with the space heater you provided) and secondly, the signage on the front of the table could be improved. For next year, I would be happy to donate professionally made signs with your Remembrance Tree logo on them printed and FedEx/Kinkos or some place like that. Let me know how I can help!

It was very quiet and slow which kind of surprised me- I believe we took approximately $45-50 in donations. I guess if I had any suggestion at all it would be to make the table more interactive. Perhaps a little table for kids to sit at and color, or perhaps a sign that says "Tell us about someone you wish to remember" or "Would you like to put a loved one' s name on our tree?" Something that draws people closer.

I wanted to share my concerns with the booth located at the Dimond center, i worked today, 12/3 from 10a-1p, When i arrived, alot of the flyers appeared to have been wet prior and put back in the basket, all the literature was unorganized. I was in a corner, it would be hard for people to see the table or the tree. i moved the table out a bit, however i still got no donations. i was by the door, which was very cold whenever it was opened.
If you decide to do a wrapping booth, a friend and i would like to help
Dimond Mall Remembrance Tree
It was very slow and the tree is kind of hidden, could use a better location. Also the manual is confusing, should be short and sweet and to the point.

I'm happy to sit with the Remembrance Tree for the 4th year. I like the table at the 2nd floor mall entrance to the JC Penny store. With that being said, iI'd like some help in being seen at this table. The tree could've had lights--it was pretty dim and the space not lit up at all. I'd also like some tunes--so people will take notice of our presence there. Maybe an overhead spotlight that changes color to generate a little life and heat ( yeah it's on the cool side out there in the mall way. If Hispice has any videos to play it would help get attention to the table as well and it would be easier to reach out to the public. I hope this at least gives you some ideas to increase donations.
